Quran Teacher
Full-time, on-site · 813 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 · Inaugural school year begins August 2026, In Sha Allah
Priority consideration for applications received before June 15, 2026.
A Day in the Life
Your day is 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, moving between four classrooms with a 45-minute period for each grade. PreK is mostly listening and repetition — Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, the four mu'awwidhat, the Adhan. Kindergarten begins memorization (Al-Fatihah and a handful of short surahs from Juz 'Amma) and starts naming the makharij of letters. 1st grade introduces beginning Quran reading from Qa'idah / Noorani Qa'idah and adds simple tajweed (ghunnah, basic idgham). 2nd grade has individual recitation conferences each week — your hardest job is hearing every student every week. You track memorization individually for each student, share progress with families, and lead muraja'ah at the start of each session before introducing new material.
